Rest In Peace, Betty Garrett
I’m honored to have had the opportunity to photograph actress Betty Garrett in 2008. She was the second or third subject for my series of close up portraits. I remember telling her if the lighting was uncomfortable to her, etc, I’d be happy to do something less “intimidating” (I light these photographs with very large lights very close to the subject’s face). Her response was something jovial along the lines of “honey, I can’t even see them.”
Betty Garret has passed away at age 91.
