Mal-Mart at Burning Man 2010
Amongst the other things I’m working on at Burning Man this year, I also photographed the images that will be the walls of the structure of the Mal-Mart camp. These will be printed on a mesh Vinyl. The structure will house various art galleries, installations, discussions, music and media created by the users. This year they are telling me the structure will be 8 or 9 stories tall. It will be up for a week during the festival, then the crew will tear it down.
This time they are tight on budget so I am paying for the printing, I may auction them off when they return (if they return) and donate any proceeds to Black Rock Arts.
