[ light ] Schizophrenia calming down…
No I’m not actually schizophrenic. Or… if I am, I have yet to be diagnosed. But here is more beauty. This time with Veronica, who was super cool. Always nice when a model has personality to match the amazing looks. Veronica had a skin condition that I want to say she called “cystic acne.”. In the photos I saw of her, she was heavily made up. Though I was not aware of that condition before she came in, it was obvious from the shots that her agent sent over that she had amazing potential with a more natural look.
I knew makeup artist Siobhan Carmody could do something brilliant, so we called in Veronica and did these simple but (I think) beautiful shots. There is no retouching on her skin. Shot on the Mamiya, using a broad light source and a reflector as the main lights on her. Veronica remarked that she had never done a shoot with so little makeup, and I was very pleased with the results. Siobhan is a master at giving the ladies that healthy glow.
We went heavy with the sparkley eyes on this last shot… which I’m not super keen on, but I liked the simple pose. One of my mentors @ RIT always told me I had a problem with cutting off hands and feet… Clearly an issue once more.
